Just to the north of the property, literally right across the road, is a parking area to access thousands of acres of BLM lands in Cottonwood Canyon and Coal Bed Canyon. Local ranchers consider elk pests-they allow access to polite hunters The owner of this property has made friends with several of the large property owners in the area, and they are not fans of the large elk herds. They encourage hunters to come and hunt, alleviating some of the damage to their crops of pinto beans, sunflowers, hay, and wheat.
