I arrived in Northern Utah in 1976 following a teaching career in Michigan, and a corporate life in California. Neither of those totally suited me, but knowing that living in the West in a small town is what my husband Mike and I were striving for, we made it happen!

We settled in the mountains, and there I learned how diverse and beautiful Utah truly is. My love of the outdoors started then also. Skiing, hiking, camping, biking, and gardening were things we hadn't done much of while we lived in Michigan or Southern California. After living in the cold, Northern Wasatch Mountains for 20 years we decided to move to the Southern desert. At that time a business opportunity arose for us in Moab. We purchased a property that we renovated and opened as a nightly accommodation, purchased an existing central reservation business and began our property management business by managing a small motel and downtown commercial buildings. Timing was right and our business grew from referrals and word of mouth. We met our goal in ten years with over 175 annual management contracts, 24/7 coverage, and 13 seasonal employees. Now it was time to travel and rediscover each other!

Of course, that is the shortened version of the past 32 years! I held a property-casualty insurance license (22 years), was an advertising agency business manager, held my real estate agent license (3 years), my real estate broker license (13 years), was founder and owner of Moab Property Management (10 years) to round out my Utah business life. Wonderful clients, friends, experiences and opportunities have brought me to where I am today.

Selling real estate (rather than managing properties) always seemed to be the ultimate way to expand my life experience. I have waited until 2009 for this opportunity. I am thrilled to be part of the Real Estate Company of Moab's team. I anxiously await the opportunity to list, show and sell property in and around Moab.
